A window appeared headed Windows Security, with a flower picture, asking me to verify U/N and P/W.
It was impossible to get rid of it but Virgin onilne Help took over my computer and deleted it. It returned a day later and I'm unable to access V Help again, (dunno why).
Windows Mail is now locked but I can acces mail via webmail.
Any suggestions, please.
Both Spybot and Avast! have been run and found no nasties. It is believed this is not a virus but a Vista problem.

Thanks.
Vista only has Uninstall / Change / Repair Programs, but I found by Search, the Settings place. My mail is already set as you suggest.

I was away a the weekend house-sitting and plugged into their globalnet system , so it may have come from there.
