I have xp Home, and 512mb of RAM
How do I test its working good?

basicaly if you aren't crashing - it's ok

as AC has said, if it's working and not crashing your RAM is fine.

But 512Mb of RAM really isn't enough for XP to run smoothly. I would seriously recommend you add at least another 512mb, RAM is really cheap these days.

Don't go mad though, adding any more then another 1gb really isn't worth it.
