Musty and mouldy problem - how can I treat it

OK... We have just emptied our two metal containers which have had our furniture in storage for a year. The furniture container smells very very musty - and we couldnt work out why - til we realised that it was not vented.... the other one is vented but not this one.
So I have a chesterfield leather sofa - which is a bit on the green side in mould. Am assuming I can wipe it off and oil or cream the leather to nourish it. I can get the feather cushions replaced.
A mattress has a small area of green mould - so was thinking I could spray with bleach...

Now I need to unpack boxes and leave everything to air for a while.

Has anyone any suggestions for what solutions to use? Or what will take away the musty smell on fabrics etc???

beeswax polish to nourish leather lovely smell to
sprinkle bicarbonate of soda on fabrics leave overnight and hoover off the next day
mould spots spay lightly with bleach and use a nail brush after leaeing for half an hour porr hot water as you scrub it good luck

a weak solution of Milton might be better than bleach to remove the mould spots. Try it on a bit that doesn't show first! You can always up the strength of the milton a bit at a time until you get a result. There is a mould removing spray available from hardware shops but don't know about it's bleach content. Good luck!

There is an enzyme cleaner for leather called Em Clean that kills mould spores, which is the cause of the musty smell.

tumble dryer sheets are wonderful fo getting rid of unwanted smells - anything of material that can't be washed in the machine: wet the bounce sheet & rub vigourously over the 'smelly' area and leave to dry. Could use fabreeze?
