virus on memory card

hi good folks of answerbank
i have a bit of a problem i was hoping someone might be able to solve..
the memory stick for my camera has a virus - AVG found worm/vb.fdw and when trying to upload the photos to my pc it says theres no files but the folders show as .exe?but when the card is in my camera the memory is full and it shows all the previews?
anyone have any idea how i can solve this riddle?

try transfering the pics using the camera lead
reformat the card - again using the camera
