i have just come into possesion of a hp laserjet 1160 which has been working in a friends office. i have installed it and downloaded drivers, my problem is that after clicking on the command to print it is approx 30 seconds between command and it actually printing, if there is 2 or more pages the 30 second delay is between each page what can i do to speed this up, thanks.

Is it printing over a network? As my office printer was like this during the week, but could be used speedily at the weekend when fewer people were about

I would suggest that the printer is set to high quality, photo settings or similar. Try changing settings to draft and do a few tests to see if things speed up.
