cpu fan
hi guys ,
little help with this pls,
got a second hand pc about a year ago and it works fine for what i need it to do.
but since i,ve had it every time i switch on it stays at the boot screen and says cpu fan not detected press f1 to continue, which i do and it runs fine
latley i opened it up to give it a good clean and what it has is some sort of funnel from the back fan directed on to the cpu fan.
so after all that can anyone tell me if i can switch of this warning at boot up as its now bugging me
your great wisdom will be greatly welcome
many thanks

air cooled CPUs are quite unusual these days
>> from the back fan directed on to the cpu fan - so is it spinning
if the cpu overheats it will destroy the pc - so just disabling isn't a good idea ... and may not be an option (it's like throwing out your fire extinguisher because it's in the wrong rom
you need to look in the bios settings ... they vary from machine to machine - so it's impossible to say just where it will be - if it's there at all.
