VMWare with BT4 and USB mobile broad band
8 Answers
I'm running Windows Vista 32 sp2 with BT4 installed on VMWare but I can't use my mobile broadband USB connection on BT4. I can run USB wireless adapters no problem. I tried copying the ISP software to BT4 for the mobile connection but it wouldn't run. BT4 is running on a linux OS I think. I didn't install linux though. It wont even show up on the network connections on VMWare. Do I need to get a linux version of the mobile broadband ISP software to be able use the internet via my mobile connection on BT4?

all I can find is it might be Baltix, which is a version of linux? (and the latest version is 4)
if so it's a ubuntu/gnome based one so find the package manager and do a search for gnome-ppp and install it, you should then be able to set the 3G connection up as a dial up connection using the settings from your ISP.

what's bt4 to you? - if it's the one I know ....
you're trying to crack wep keys - and that's illegal
and more to the point - if you can't figure it out yourself - you need to get a new - less offensive hobby
I dislike script kiddies and "road warriers" - just destructive little sh@ts with no talent

The basic explanation is I'm just trying to learn about all different aspects of computing. I led a far from perfect life for a few years but I'm trying to make up for lost time now. As I said I just want to learn but I'm out in the middle of nowhere and I don't know where to start. I enjoy challenging myself to solve different problems and just wanted to see what I could do.
