pop up help please.

i recently had norton anti virus on my laptop, when my subscription ran out instead of renewing i installed the AVG free version of anti virus, i had a lot of hassles with it and ended up uninstalling it and buying norton again.one of the major problems ive had though is pop ups , like masses of them lining up along the bottom of my screen. if im on a site i shut the page down and there are loads of them opened up.my pop up blocker is on and set to high security and yet these are still appearing.
can anyone offer some advice please ??

Download and install a program called Malwarebytes anti Malware from here:
http://www.v3.co.uk/vnunet/downloads/2208160/m alwarebytes-anti-malware

Run the scanner after installation and hopefully it will solve your problem.It sounds like you have some spyware on your PC that will not necessarily be picked up by a virus scanner.

thanks for your answer daffy, i already have that malware program and run a quick scan daily to no avail, these pop ups are still over ruling me.
