help please.
Hi All,
can anyone please help me with this problem.
i have tried to install updates on my laptop,
the computer went through the installation process, at the end there was a red bar on the updates page saying, " 1 UPDATE FAILED
SP1 ERROR CODE 57 " So i tried again only for the same thing to happen.
Can anyone please tell me what to do next,
any help very much appreciated,

Then before installing it disconnect from the Internet (pull the cable or turn your wireless off) and then disable your firewall/security software, install the service pack and then re-enable your security and reconnect to the Internet.

I think SP1 ERROR CODE 57 is quite common and normally occurs when you are installing new software over an old version and the old version is not 100% removed.
You could type "SP1 ERROR CODE 57" into google and it will bring site up that you can download free to remove the error.
