Wireless Network

I've recently set up a home wireless network...

the wireless router/modem is connected to the PC which accesses the internet no problem.

However, ive used my laptop which connected correctly yesterday. I searched for wireless connects and the router came up but when connecting it set up a small network (named LAPTOP for example) which includes the pc, router and laptopn. it then gave me a passcode which i used my ipod touch to connect to the internet.

however turning on the laptop today it finds the wireless network LAPTOP but doesnt let me connect saying the connection has timed out.

ive already reset the router once and re-set up the pc connection and LAPTOP network before when the problem occured.

any help would be greatly appreicated.

im using windows vista.
