Password sign-in for Yahoo

I recently had to unplug the PC, since when I've had to sign in to everything all over again. I'm having trouble with Yahoo Mail; previously I only had to sign in with my password every couple of weeks, but now it's every time, and I can't see how to change it. The Help facility tells me what to do, but I can't follow that through as some of the steps don't appear onscreen. Any advice, please?
