When I have finished a session, I usually just turn off my laptop without closing anything down.
When I return later, Firefox usually continues where I left off, but occasionally I get the following message;-
Well, this is embarrassing;-
Firefox is having trouble recovering your windows and tabs.
It then gives me a choice of trying again or opening a new session.
Both of my daughters never get this message, and they are both with Firefox, so it makes me wonder if it is a common message or would I be better closing Firefox down before switching my computer off.
I have a wireless laptop and am on Vista
i get that sometimes. nothing to worry about really, all it means is Firefox cant retrieve your last website and recommend you to open up a fresh browser instead.
sometimes firefox does manage to retrieve your last visit. but if you dont like the message, then its best to close your browsers before turning off your pc/laptop.

Thanks WhiteBears. I wasn't unduly worried about it, just curious as to why I get the message but my daughters don't. Perhaps they close down Firefox first.
denis, yes thats right, if you dont shut down your firefox properly the program will try and save your last move. and you are right about your daughters, they must have closed the web browser first before shutting the computer down :0)
