I am running Vista and have no trouble in scanning photos using my HP all-in-one. A friend, who lives a good distance away has asked me for advice on how to scan photos using Win XP.
Question for you computer boffs out there: Does XP have anything equivalent to the Windows Photo Gallery that is so useful in Vista? I want to be able to tell friend how to scan (and email) a photograph using a minimum number of 'clicks'. I know he has a scanner / printer but I don't know the details of the make and model.
I hope this rather sketchy information is enough for someone to be able to offer helpful comments. Thanks in advance.

On my XP laptop, I have an HP all-in-one that comes with it's own scanner and camera wizard software,.and this is called from within Photo Gallery.

Thanks, Jumbuck. You've told me exactly what I wanted to know, i.e. that XP has Photo Gallery. It should be straightforward now.
