scanner downloads

I have recently had windows xp installed in place of windows 2000.  My packard bell diamond 1200 scanner, is apparantly not compatible with with xp.  Are there any driver downloads that will allow me to get my scanner working with xp.

I had a similar problem - my AVision scanner wouldn't work with XP. I searched for an update, eventually e-mailed the company and they pointed me to an update that 'might work', but admitted it probably wouldn't. It didn't. Saw an ad for a new scanner, a Xerox 2400, on sale at PC World, half price (�35 instead of about �70). Took a chance on it, and it turned out to be 100%+ better than my old, outdated scanner.  Best 35 quid I ever spent, computer-wise. Worth a thought. I've seen it advertised a couple of times since, btw, so there's still a chance you could pick one up.
