i have tried to install my mirascan 5 on my new laptop windows 7 and it doesnt run but i worked on my old computer windows xp why is this

It will need a different driver for Win7. Check out the scanner manufacturer's website. Hopefully they have a driver.

Because microsoft changed the driver model between windows XP and windows Vista (windows7 uses the Vista driver model)

yes my scanner place said they dont have a driver for my scanner
