Screen problam

I have been given a Relisys TL 585 RU(B) tft screen without the manual! I have tried to connect it up and connections seem fine...but apart from briefly seeing the boot-up text (the black and white bits) the screen remains black with nothing showing. At the bottom of the monitor are two buttons marked "function" and two shown as + and -- I have tried various combinations of holding the function keys whilst keying the + button but nothing is happening - please can anyone assist with what I need to do to get the screen to function.

If your are seeing the initial boot display, then clearly the screen is working. If you get as far as the welcome screen, and then it goes black, it's probably because your video adaptor is set to an incompatible resolution and/or refresh rate. If you don't even get to the welcome screen, then the problem would seem to be with your computer, rather than with the monitor.

try lowering the resolution in the desktop set up screen (right click on a spare bit of desktop). As rojash says it could well be an incompatable resolution.

Failing the above, boot the PC into VGA mode then change the resolution / refresh rate
