Several times today when I have clicked on a topic in Answerbank ,usually Technology, a log in screen appears for UKnetguide. I have done the usual security checks which have found nothing amiss. Anybody got an explanation for this anomally.

Cheers in advance

i had the same early on
I was getting it all morning and I had to click it three times for it to go. My Kasperky picked it up and got rid of it.
The advertisement at the top of the page was being updated by the servers in question. They had an issue with there servers resulting in the need to log in; in order to view the banner at the top of the page.
Yeah...it looked like I had a 'page cannot be displayed' up there.
If you had noticed the page you were trying to access was an 'ads' site which was infact the same advertisement site that AB is currently affiliated to.
AnswerBank is owned by UKNetGuide . . . . .
i had this 2 hours ago when i went on geneaology, i did a scan and raised my cookie settings in privacy and it did not reappear
I wouldn't know, I've never tried a lookup.
I thought that lil...that's why I wasn't too worried.

AND

UK Net Guide is owned by Crystal Guides Ltd (see here)

The AnswerBank operate quite separately from UKNetguide - it appears there are some problems with the ad delivery their end.

I apologise for this inconvenience.
