How do I convert files to play on my dvd player? I have loads of files of different formats and wish to convert them to play on a houshold dvd to tv. I have tried allsorts but still struggle. Is there any freeware software that can do it? I was using Express burn but that requires subscription after a trial time. Being skint aint good these day I guess? Thanks in advance.

Try AVS or DVDFlick to see if they support the formats you want to convert.

I use ConvertXtoDVD .. Great program. Used it for a few years now.
This can't really be bettered.
Convertxtodvd is good. Super can convert lots of file formats to avi. I can burn avi files to a dvd and play them on my dvd player. Saves on burning a dvd just containing one or two short films.
You may take a look at this step by step guide, it's regarding how to convert and burn video (including flash) to DVD. I followed it and successfully burned DVD to play on my home DVD player, it's easy to understand, I think it deserves a try.
