Get rid of it forth fifth and sixwith!
Norton anti-virus is a pain in the nether regions. Get AVG Free, that's what most people use (including me).
You may have some trouble removing all elements of NAV, try looking for a 'cleanup' tool if you don't suceed in removing it all
MSE is ok....but I'd advise using Avast 5 instead. that and Malwarebytes anti-malware.

get avast from;http://www.avast.com/free-antivirus-down
load

get Malwarebytes anti-malware from; http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php

thanks for the advice, answerprancer and dunworking
AVG used to be goo, but over the years it's become as bloated and clunk as Norton.
The best FREE integrated security package is Comodo: http://www.comodo.com...internet-security.php
The best BEST intgerated package is Eset Smart Security: http://eset.co.uk/Products/SmartSecurity
the latest Norton is excellent.....
Avast is a freebie and well good ...there
are continually updates ..
Answer .. You do not have a clue, do you? You just think free must be best!?
It isn't.
NAV is totally re-written since 2009 .. it's excellent.
AVG free is complicated to control manually, uses more system resources now than ever. It also did not stop Fake Worm Antivirus alert installing and wrecking a friends laptop, although I tested it with NAV 2010 which stopped it instantly.
Avast "paid for", ESet "paid for" and NAV2010 are fine. My NAV is currently using 18Mb memory in total, which is a few megs more than Keyboard software and 2/3 of what explorer is using.
I am no techie but even ChuckFickens highly rates the latest version of Norton.
Pulse updates .... Community feedback ... has to be the way to go
AIbags, no, I don't have a clue and I'm very sorry.
lol ... Thanks .. and Sorry : )
craft1948 and AlBags are correct.
NAV does the best for u , the earlier versions of NAV took a lot of system resources and time to scan , but since 2009 they are the best selling antivirus programme in the market...
The best part is that u get 30 to 90 days of free trial in which u get full access to remove infections , if u like the NAV after using the trial only then subscribe to it.

I own a cyber cafe and i trust NAV........ Best of luck
