I am looking for a scanner to scan negatives, slides & old photos. I have been looking at the Epsom V700 & the Epsom V750. Does anyone know anything about either of these or own one of them or reccommend a different one. Any help greatly appreciated as I don`t know a lot about them myself. I have read reviews but they differ greatly.
I have the Epson scanner below, and have had no problems with it over a number of years, but I do believe it is now discontinued.
It is a photo scanner, with a frame in the lid that takes slides and negatives, although it only tales a few slides at a time the end results are perfect.
The Canon LIDE 80 I have works really well, but is cumbersome to use with the frame slide holder ... plus they usually scan only one frame at a time.
A better idea for those more serious is to buy a dedicated film scanner ... like this one (same as I have) bought on eBay for 50 notes ... It will connect with firewire or USB and takes a reel/strip into itself.
