Running 30 day trial, and would like a NON-Norton opinion
Do you know why, each time I start PC I get a message bubble over the icon tray (lower right corner of screen) which says, "Click icon in tray to "run scan"
It is somewhat difficult to double-click it, and single click makes no difference. anyway, once I get it's attention, it gives option, 'run scan' or 'continue'
If I click on run scan it says "NU silent full scan" running
If I select continue, PC seems to proceed as normal..........
So, is it necessary to run it each start up? Also, I use Google Chrome browser, and each scan clears all my saved passwords (only save passwords for unvaluable sites -- anything that can hurt me, I always make sure to require a log in each time I use it.
But, I thought I would give it a try for thirty days, and hopefully discover why you and several others have told me it's useless. However, to be truthful, I cannot see why.
"others have told me it's useless. However, to be truthful, I cannot see why."
More importantly what can you see that is useful about it? People don't normally buy things because they can't see they are useless, they buy things that they CAN see are useful.
Red-Ex is (or was) a fuel additive that you could buy in the filling station and add to your fuel tank when you refuelled. It was supposed to improve performance and clean the engine - just like the additives that are already included in petrol by the manufacturers.
