When I put a smartmedia card in my card reader, I used to be automatically presented with a program/multi-choice box which asked me what I wanted to do with the image files, and took me step by step through the process of creating & naming a folder and saving the photos. This no longer happens !! Why ? & how can I get the program back ? Sorry to keep asking but noone has responded yet .

Many Thanks in advance.

perhaps that's cos no-one knows the answer? just a wild guess...
Double click on My Computer on your desktop, then (assuming that your card reader shows as a separate drive/device here on your PC), right click on the card reader drive (possibly requiring a card being in the reader but probably not), choose Properties and then in the new dialogue/window that appears click on the Autoplay tab.
Either choose the default option that you want to happen or click on the radio button that says "Prompt me for an action each time"

Tadaaaaa

Thanks stevie 21 ! Much appreciated.

As an aside - the reason I posted the question 3 times, was that in this category, questions disappear onto page 2 very quickly - perhaps we should subdivide the category into three - internet, computers and other technology.

Thanks again
