Does anybody know of valid reasons why an agricultural building can be refused planning permission?
We have a small farm near us and the owner who has no interest in agricultre and does not keep any animals nor grow any crops. Already he has sold off 2 roadside fields to gypsies who have set up camp there despite local resident objections. He is now applying for planning permission for an agricultural building on another roadside field. We understand that once this is granted he will apply for change of use to an industrial unit as apparently this is the easiest way of getting it through as agricultural buildings are rarely refused and neither is change of use. Does anybody know of valid objections we can pose against the application as all residents are keen not to have our country side further ruined by a man only interested in lining his pockets with little regard for those of us who have chosen to live here as we appreciated the environment we had

Would only really work if in the council's interest though.
Have a look through some local planning decisions for similar applications to see the kind of criteria they consider.
What kind of agricultural building is be applying for permission for? Is there anything specific such as animals, storage?
Might be easier to put in an objection then such as smell, noise, access...
