I have this DVD copy program and have used it successfully for straight one to one copies but what I would like to do is copy short bits from various DVDs and put them on to one new disc, I know you can do this from the ''Merge'' option on the menu but when I copy a section from one disc it wants to write a DVD, would I be correct in thinking that it will write just that bit but not finalise the disc so I can add more bits from another DVD later? hope that this makes sense..

Yes, it will write just the bit selected and won't finalise the disc. What you're trying to do is to create what's known as a "multisession disc". A multisession disc enables you to burn data to the same disc in more than one writing session. If you have space after a writing session, you can write more files at a later date by using a multisession disc.

Nero 9 is my preferred method of creating multisession discs, but there's lots of free software on the internet that can do the job too. I've not used DVD Fab 5 personally.
Nero is the best.
DVD Fab killed the computer.

Thank you both for your informative answers, the reason that I use DVD Fab is because originally I did have Nero on here but it caused so many problems with other programs running that I had to get rid of it, no such probs with DVD Fab.
secsee1, as like me you don't have Nero check out ''bookend Tues 11.22 23 Mar/10'' who very kindly helped me out. Ron.
