Computer wont recognise digital camera

Worked fine yesterday but today when i connect digital camera to tower and press connect-computer-ok, it comes up:E/refers to a location that is unavaillable.It could be on a hard drive on this computer, any help would be great.

in my computer does it say your camera is on drive E:

I know it sounds silly but I have an external hard drive that I run my backups on all of a sudden the backups failed. Backup was pointing at E: but hard drive was now G:

Reason for the change my wife had got a new camera and that became E: go figure.

maybe the camera software is on t'other drive. If you have a scanner the camera could be opened there.
