What does take up a lot of space is videos/movies.
Have you been downloading a lot of videos, movies etc from the internet as they can be huge?
The other thing could be music or digital pictures, but they are nto so big.
Also I have heard of some people running backup programs that backup to the C drive and use lots of space. Are you running any sort of backup program.
I have to say 138Gb is a LOT of stuff so there must be some pretty large files on there.
There are programs out there that can search your hard drive and tel you what files or folder are taking up the most space, so try one of them (I do not know the name of any but somebody must).

Did your Norton back up save a large file on your hard drive ? Might be part of hte problem.
You need to analyse what you have saved hat is taking up space. There are analysis tools out there, such as TreeSize.
That is a LOT of space to have taken up with Applications, unless you have about 30 full size games installed. Suspect you may have some large data files, or lots & lots of smaller ones, from something.
