(2-part post):
If you normally access your email via a web page (rather than by using an email client, such as Outlook Express or Windows Mail) you can do so in exactly the same way as you would from home.
If you normally access your email via an email client (Outlook, Outlook Express, Windows Mail, Thunderbird, etc), the easiest way to access your mail from another location would be to switch to web-based access. Most (possibly all?) ISPs allow you to do so. Simply go to the home page of your ISP (or of the company which provides your email service, if different) and look for a link such as 'email', 'my mail', 'user login', etc. You'll be asked for your username and your password and then you'll be taken to a page where you can click on things like 'Inbox', 'Compose mail', etc.
You don't need to wait until you're using another computer. You can try using the web-based service right now, from your home PC.

If you're away from home, and you want to access your email via an email client (such as those mentioned above) on another PC, you'll have to create a new account on that PC. To do so, you'll need to know your username and password, together with the 'POP3' and 'SMTP' server addresses used by your email service. You can find the POP3 and SMTP information on your ISP's support pages, or (probably) on one of these sites:
http://www.idl.uk.com/email/isp_settings.htm
http://www.kitz.co.uk/isp/dns.htm
To actually create the account you need to fill in the boxes in the relevant wizard. . With Outlook Expresss you go via Tools>Accounts>Add>Mail.
If you need further information, please post again, stating which email service you use (i.e. the bit after the '@' sign in your address) and whether you usually use on of the clients referred to above - if so, which one - or just visit a web page to access your mail.

Just say your email account is with AOL. Type in the search (the empty white box as the top) www.aol.co.uk. The AOL home page will appear. Somewhere on that page it will say 'sign in' so you sign in with your screen name e.g. [email protected] and your password. It will bring up a page where you can look at your emails.
