Lazy Eye Photo Editing

I have a lazy right eye and sometimes in photo's it is slightly to the side. I can fix it when I blink so I suppose i need to blink right before the picture is taken! But just wondering if there is a way to edit my eye in photos so it looks straight?!

Pretty much any photo / image editing software can do this, though it's unlikely to be a built-in feature. By that, I mean you'll need to zoom in on the eye, select the area to be moved, and then move it...

if you've got Photoshop or something, you could always cut out your left eye, reverse it, and paste it over your left eye. I have done that on occasion when my subject blinked at the wrong time - it takes more effort than just hitting them and telling them to sit still, but causes less ill feeling.

I know nothing about photo editing - but did you know that you can get an operation to get your eye fixed.

I had a squint fixed when I was about 2 and again when I was about 32.

Doesn't that cause problems when done as an adult...? Specifically, the brain has learnt to see in 2-D as opposed to 3-D, and is unable to readapt after a certain age...

Yes, I went to a special eye clinic with my mum a couple of years ago and they gave me the option of having an operation to fix it.. i didn't really mind but my mum said no so I didn't get it so we didn't discuss it in further detail.. it's actually got better and only happens when I am tired.. but if it does go off I just blink and it goes back to place!

I have bad eyesight anyway and would this lazy eye affect me getting lazer eye surgery to fix my eyesight in the future?

Sophie, I have Horners Syndrome, which can make one eyelid drop (although permanently, not just when tired). it was operated on last year and the result is fantastic. I was also lasered a few years ago.. and that was fantastic too.

My squint was fixed on a day patient basis - it made a real difference to how my eye looked. If you are now over 16 (I think that it is 16) you can make the decision yourself.

Did you suffer any after-effects e.g. blurred or double vision, headaches etc?

Did you achieve 3D vision?

MarkRae - not sure if question aimed at me. I still have the same vision as I had before the op. It doesn't change your vision. I still don't have stereo/3D vision. The op solved some headache problems that I had been having. No problems.
