connecting laptop to tv

when i connect up the tv picture has no red in it, ie everything has a blue tinge. i tried changing the contrast on both tv and laptop but that doesn't work. tried all the obvious, loose connection, resolution etc but they haven't worked. any suggestions?

how are you connecting to the TV, composite video, S-Video, VGA, HDMI or component video??

it's like a mini scart plug both ends of the cable with screws either end of it. sorry, i'm not very techno minded!
probably VGA, is it a blue plug?

If so it's almost certainly a bad connection, make sure both ends are pluged in fully again and no pins are bent.

If that doesn't cure it possibly a faulty lead, try and borrow another one, it's a standard monitor lead.

i think it is a VGA, i've tried two different ones now and it's the same problem.
