USB audio coexisting with analogue?
Hi all
I have a set of analogue speakers attached to my pc (via the headphone socket) and these have been working fine
Recently I bought a USB headset for conference calls, and I was hoping I'd be able to switch between them with software, but it seems that when the USB headset is connected that's the ONLY sound device I can use - the analogue speakers only work when the headset is not connected
Is this the way it's supposed to be, or is there some Windows setting I have not yet discovered??
Thanks for any (and all!) suggestions

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.in media player right click on the title bar and select tools > options then click on the devices tab and it will show you a list of devices, if you double click on the speakers you should be able to select the audio device for media player to use.
The process should be similar in other software if it has the option to change audio devices, otherwise you'll have to change the default playback device every time in control panel > sound and audio devices then click on the audio tab.
Have a play and see what settings suit you best.
