Does your Mouse Pad keep moving.?

I have tried different Mouse Pads and they all move on my desk surface. Consequently I felt I had nothing to loose if I experimented with one which cost less than £2.

A few lines of contact adhesive across the back of the pad seems to be the answer; providing the glue is allowed to completely dry before the item is used.

Hi Ron,

If you have an optical mouse (the type with a light on the bottom and not a ball) then I've found that a mouse pad is very rarely needed anyhow, they work on pretty much any surface anyhow. (about to click submit with a mouse on the sofa :))
Get a graphic tablet & pen. Much better.
Get yourself a Logitech Trackman Wheel or the Cordless Optical Trackman. I love it so much I bought three.
Get a logitech G500 works on any smooth surface, even glass. Sooo nice in the hand as well.

Sorry Beswad and Ratter15 that you were not included in my reply. By the time I had typed and posted you folk had come through.

Personally I don't like cordless mice. I did have a logitech (something or other) and it involved placing a radio controlled USB plug into the comp on each occasion I used it and then having to remove it and place back into the mouse to save the batteries; which didn't seem to last very long.

Ron
I had a Targus Wireless mouse before and you're quite correct about the batteries not lasting very long, so I was abit dubious about the Logitech Optical Trackman's power consumption when I first bought it, but to my surprise the two AA batteries lasts over 6 months even on a daily basis useage.
I find a sheet of a4 taped down works well and I can scrible on it when need be
I use a mouse mat that's made by Microban. It's a kind of grey foam plastic and it doesn't move at all.
Hold the mat steady with a drawing pin.

Thanks to all of you who responded on this item.

I now no longer need a mouse-mat because the 'rodent' works well on an antique style 'leather' surface.

Best wishes.....Ron.
