Is there a trick to copy and paste from a web site. I do some editing for my son but if the piece has already been put on his website, if I try to copy/paste onto a new document so that I can work on it , the text appears as a narrow strip of about three words wide - have tried to drag the pointer at the top to enlarge the page but nothing happens and I seem to not be able to really do anything at all with it. I've got Open Officeorg 3.2 which always seems to freeze when trying to paste anything from the web. Clearly I'm doing something wrong but as all you computer experts know by now, I'm thick. Really grateful for any help (in simple terms please) Thanks.

Use 'Paste Special>Unformatted Text' instead of 'Paste':
