I have downloaded some video camera clips. Can I view them on Media Player?
I have tried to view them on Real Player, I get sound but no picture. Any suggestions would be gratefully received. The only way I have managed to view is by connecting my camera to TV (2ft lead) and sitting on the floor to use controls. There must be a better way.

or download divx just as good and its free
As Colarmac has suggested, you might be able to get the clips to play (using your existing media players) by installing some new codecs. However you might also like to try the free video player which is most widely praised by the technical press (and on BBC technology programmes), VLC:

(It's vastly superior to WMP and Real Player)

GOM Player is also well worth a try:

Don't download and install codec packs!
They can seriously mess up your pc.
Totally unnecessary.
If you don't know how to check the codec required to display the video .. and install that codec, use VLC player or Classic Media player
I see that Colarmac says "Feel free to e-mail me".
Is it possible to do that on AB???
I used to belong a web site which did allow you to e-mail another member by going through the coordinator. The other member only answered if he wanted to and didn't mind you having his e-mail address.
