Mobile Phone to PC

I've just upgraded my mobile for a Samsung S8000. I think the installation disc has been thrown out with the box, I've downloaded PC Studio but it won't recognise and connect to my PC. I think I need to download a USB driver but there are so many and I don't know what to do to transfer all my pictures onto my new laptop.
Can anyone help point me in the right direction please.
