Just buy a USB mouse, plug it in, and away you go.

You can buy small mice for use with a laptop

Just to add to my excessively long answer though, you can use a USB mouse, you probably can't use an old style PS2 mouse (due to probably not having a PS2 port on the laptop)

thanks V mutch it just that i do a lot of photo editing and it makes my finger very sore scraping it on the lap top .
