Epson printer new spool folder

A few weeks ago I asked on AB for help with Epson Stylus Photo RX685 printing delay but did not resolve took printer to local repair centre paid £10 for checking no fault reported. I have since contacted Epson and was advised to create new spool folder also advised temp folder may be too full. I emptied temp folder and created Espool but was unable to complete by changing in Speed and progress from instructions- could not open drive C from there. Have been 'chatting' with Epson this am but unfortunately no progress any new suggestions appreciated I have just tested with half page black and white took 6 minutes from pressing print button to printed page frustrating to say the least!!
