sd card slot

hi,suddenly my laptop(toshiba equium p200d-139)does not recognize when you put a sd card into the slot. any ideas.

1) Does the card work in another computer?

2) Is it just one card which isn't recognised, or all cards?

Is p200d a typo?

I can only find a p300d as a Equium.

Anyhow, assuming you've done the obvious shut it down and restart it then try downloading the drivers for the card reader and reinstalling them

cf...yea,def p200,think you are on the right track with drivers,sorry, but exactly what drivers am i needing to download for this?not sure what i`m looking for.thanks
