my laptop and problems

hi to the guys who have been helping me sort my laptop out , can l please explain whats going on , l wanted needed to clean up my laptop its being going so slow etc., l have gotten onto the computer bit took of a few programes sorted out an anti virus set up got one for the 30 days but have been given other 's for free so will opt for one when the 30 days expire l was also told to defragment which l then started , anyway a box came up and told me to put a disc in not really knowing if l am doing this right l found a pc performance data backup and put this in now l have just left it to defragment [ god am l thick or what] please bear with me l have literally learnt how to use a computer and internet myself and really dont want to bugger things up all l want is to be able to use my laptop and not have to wait ages for things to happen am l doing the right things , ok have tomorrow of work so will be able to give some attention to anyone who can be bothered to read all this and want to help me, what can l say but thank you all , have a drink on me .

download "cc cleaner" its free and well respected by guys on here
click on clean-up "bottom right" when it 's done it will say " do you want to back up this" well i never do this i just delete
then click on registry "scan for issues", and clean off any it finds
its easy to use cc cleaner

ps only have one anti virus working on your comp at once. and have at least the basic firewall switched on
and run a good "free "anti spyware programme i use l malwarebytes anti malware

thank you so much deggers316., yor advice has helped me and now l am gonna do what you say l have to say l am amazed that my laptop is still going after all the things l have been doing to it trying to clean and get things done has been baffling me but l am getting there l will keep you posted thanks. senga.

please to deggers316 l got on to cccleaner as you said it then went to reg genie done its stuff but told me l had to many errors and would have to register and pay please can you assist thank you senga

Also download and run Glary Utilities as well as this is a one click maintenence program that will keep your laptop working good it is also free. To defrag your laptop also download and run Auslogics Disk Defrag which is also free and run it .It has a function that will defrag and optimise your hard drive.
