hi I am trying to download ccleaner as was suggested on here from filehippo.com, but it is coming up as registry reviver do I download that help please. I had cleanup on old computer but can't seem to find it now any one help. thanks

thanks now installed got it in add/remove but......can't find it any where else anyone know where I could find it to run it?

Go to Start > Programs and look to see if it's listed under 'Piriform'.

If you can't find it, go to Start > Search > For Files or Folders. Select 'All Files and Folders'. Try a search for 'Ccleaner'.

If that doesn't work, run a search for *.exe, which will find all executable files on your computer. If you can't immediately see it in the list, click on the 'Date Modified' header until the most recent programs appear at the top of the list.

Hi Chris thanks for help put ccleaner into run..... and clicked ok and it opened but still don't know where it is. I have shortcut now on screen.

You have to be very careful of some of these free download sites.

To get advertising they often put links to other products on the same page and it is often very difficult to see where to download the program you want.

If you look at the page for CClean on hippo you see the download for ccleanr is on the RIGHT.

But there is also a download for Registry Reviver on the left with DOWNLOAD NOW in large letters so it is easy to download that by mistake.

As a general rule in future check carefully what you click on when you go to theese fre download sites.
