PDF Files get Downloaded - I want them to Open in New Window

Whenever I wish to view a pdf file that is a link, ie http://www.ipc-wcresu...L_Female_R6_Final.pdf my laptop will always download the file, then I have to open it from the download folder - whereas my desktop PC will always open the file in a new window. - the preferred option.

Can someone tell me how to get the laptop to behave in the same way as the desktop please.

Both machines are running XP with SP3, however the desktop uses Acrobat Reader and the laptop Nitro PDF Professional. Unsure whether these alternative programmes are the reason for the dissimilar behaviour.

Any thoughts please?

Have you tried opening Adobe Reader on the Desktop PC and opening Edit/Preferences/Internet .. and checking "Show pdf in Browser"?
Try that. You can still save the pdf from there when open.

Thank you for that suggested workaround Albags - but sadly it's not wanting to know. Have now taken it up with the producers of Nitro PDF Professional and am awaiting an answer.

Thanks again.
