Is it possible to access 'Twitter' and peruse all comments, without registration.? ( Similar to the open internet format with AB.)

I ask the question as one who is possibly a twit, who is fearful to twitter.(Except within the complete confidential columns of AB.!)

Ron, like you I have no idea how to twitter, and I'm not going to bother to find out - AB is enough for me. I have no wish to "follow" celebrities etc etc., I can't see the point.
You can do a search for words in tweets using this http://search.twitter.com/ and no registration is needed. If you looked at every tweet then there would be an overwhelming number, so filtering them for content can be more sedate.
you have to be logged in/registered to peruse the content
You just want to see the name of a certain footballer, don't you Ron? ;)
really bibble, I forgot my log in details months ago and it wouldnt let me in without registering/loggin in first
I've just checked, cazz, and can see posts without registering.
That link I gave is just for searching and viewing tweets, you can't post anything.
It's laughable really, the super-injunction thing, when you can just click a button and see the name of the person involved.
ah I see!

I am always logged in these days

boxtops.....I am not really interested in the antics etc of celebs; but it might be interesting to see if there's anything there about either of us. :-)

bibblebub...Thanks for the 'link' which only takes one so far and then calls for a registration.

cazzz...You are right....One has to be logged in/ registered to peruse content.

Arti...Whatever gave you the idea that I was looking to see what has been said about RG.(Rough Guy)!!..:-)

viv\ ron.............no idea, hope you are both well.
No, you don't have to create an account or be logged in to view the content.

I did a search this morning on Twitter for 'superinjunction' (I didn't want to be the only person around who didn't know the name of the footballer!) and I'm not a member or signed up or whatever.

I wonder if the superinjunction will still be in place for tomorrow's game? I can just imagine lawyers handing out writs to everyone in the crowd at Old Trafford when the chants start!!

Just a quick twitter before I go and cook our evening meal.

anneasquith...Thanks for having asked about Viv and me....We are both o.k...Hope you are likewise.

Twenty20...I've got as far as 'superinjunction' and couldn't go past the page concerned to get furher info.

I'll pick-up this thread later, after my kitchen chores....Nothing special on the menu....Just chicken thighs stuffed with cream cheese and served with roasted pots, sliced green beans and marmaladed carrots; along with some gravy.

I`ve just looked at Twitter for the first ever time. I`m not interested in what footballers do - I wouldn`t expect much from them anyway. Someone on there mentions the actor who has been a naughty boy - quite a surprise (I`m glad it`s not Ewan McGregor because I like him)

A short while back, BBC News reported about the the footballer who is endeavouring to take legal action against 'Twitter'. It was intimated that anyone can register on 'Twitter ' with a false E/mail address and then it's 'bombs away'. It was also implied that some of the 'Tweets' may have come from media ( newspapers etc.) who have been gagged on the matter.

Your link worked for me bibblebub.
I have to admit I am not the least bit interested in this twitter lark or any other form of ''newbie'' somebody way back introduced me to Facebook & I found it to be a pain in the a8se & I couldn't get out of there quick enough, I am however quite happy with A/B.
Question Author
bibblebub It's strange but the link now seems to work o.k.

Seems to be that a Super Injunction is in being for another footballer who is believed to be a team mate of the one who proposes to issue proceedings against Twitter.
This info is in Wikipedia.... I wonder if it will also be sued; possibly along with thousands of other people who have dared to mention names.

Many thanks all for having responded......Ron.
