sell your old used books for cash

i'm looking to sell my old used books for cash. I stumbled upon a website called 'Fatbrain' Has anybody else heard of this website and know whether its safe to use?

You can sell your books on ebay or on Amazon but both take their cut before you get your money. Don't know about Fatbrain, but I am intrigued by the name so am going to have a look.

having recently taken approx 200 books to charity shops - and yet more to go, fatbrain is a good description eh ?

There's also greenmetropolis, all books go for £3.75, with I think 25p of that going to the site.

I was going to suggest Greenmetropolis, I've bought form iut but not sold.
hey have environmental values, hence the name and low commission.

tried to take some books to my local charity shop last week, they said that they don't want them, have too many books!...............

I listed 10 books last week maidup, mixture of pretty old ones up to one recent one that I decided I didn't like after reading a couple of pages. No takers yet, would be interesting to hear other peoples experience of this site.

Depends on the books . Nowadays most books are soft back and 2nd hand libraries,
surgeries , communities centres almost give them away . Our libraries charge 20p and still cant get rid of them. Hard backs are sold for anything from £1 to £3.
I give away all my old books to jumble sales and charities but I know even then most end up in the skip. So unless your books are special in some way you wont get much for them.
