O2 Broadband Dongle - Connection Manager help please!
2 Answers
Hi
Due to a move I had to change from Vodafone to an O2 Broadband dongle to get good reception in new area. Now, I managed to to install it ok and get online, but unlike my previous vodafone one, this one opens the connection manager and takes me directly to something called BT Fon! I then have to, each time, scroll down a list with little padlocks either open or closed to find O2 3G - click on that and open it - then I am ok. It then usually changes itself to uk hpsa? This is fine and I have a good connection.
My problem is, although I opened settings and unticked 'automatically' I still keep getting BT Fon.
O2 'help' said to go into Connection Mgr and then profiles and I would have an option of moving the correct O23G connection to the top of the list and default it by removing the others - but I cannot see 'profiles anywhere and I cannot seem to delete anything!
In simple terms please, can anyone who uses this O2 dongle help me? I eventually get on ok, but it is annoying to have to chose and connect each time wneh all I want is the O2 3G connection
Thanks a lot

The 02 one has prefetrences under the settings icon - looks like handcuffs - can move up/doen the networks up want to connect to first. Also on tools menu you can hide/unhide wifi networks. I prefer to use the microsoft way to connect to wireless routers. Hope it helps.
