Then don't click on anything.

Goto palpay and log on as normal and if there any important messages they'll tell you there.

though it's almost certainly a scam.
If you are registered with PayPal then I think it is kosher. I am and I got the same E-Mail.
I did too. Didn't click on anything, though, I'll just wait until next time I use Paypal.
Did it name you rather than saying dear customer? If it`s the same one I received, it`s just stating that they have new terms and conditions and that if you agree with the terms you don`t have to do anything. I took mine to be genuine and I haven`t had to click on anything.
i did too, it does have my name on it though, where spam wouldnt normally have.
I have got the same email Toby but I will wait until such a time when I have to use PP before doing anything
I've just looked an I got it too, this one is OK....

All it is is a notifacation of a policy change (and if you read the mail it did tell you you can goto paypal and read it there rather than clicking on anything)

the link to the PDF is this if you want to read the changes...

https://cms.paypal.co...es/ua/eu_20110907.pdf
Seems like we are all a careful lot on AB!
Put the email in your junk box.Go to the Paypal website through a typed in link and you will see if you need to do anything or not
I asked the same `Q` in the Media section this morning and 17 AB`s replied.
It's pukka, but you have to read the document descrbing the changes, if you do not specifically say you disagree then next time you use PayPal you are deemed to have accepted the changes. If you do disagree with the changes then they'll just close your account! Bit of a Hobson's choice...
To add to my previous answer;

"Amendment to the PayPal User Agreement and Privacy Policy

Effective Date: Sep 07, 2011

Please read this document.

You do not need to do anything to accept the changes as they will automatically come into effect on the above date. Should you decide you do not wish to accept them you can notify us before the above date to close your account (https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/?&cmd=_close-
account)
immediately without incurring any additional charges."
As others have said – it is almost certainly genuine, but I think it extremely bad practice for any such organisation (bank, credit card, finance co. etc) to ask you to click on a link within an e-mail to take you to their website.

By doing so, they are inviting fraudsters to send e-mails with fake links, thereby hoping to steal account passwords etc.

Much better to advise customers of the changes, and to invite them to log in, in the normal way via your favourites or manually typing the address in your web-browser.
I received it, assumed it was a scam and zapped it.
I got it too and being a simple trusting soul I did click the link . It doesnt take you to the website just to a pf of the new terms and conditions. Pages and pages of them!
I received one from PayPal yesterday saying that my credit card which I use is about to expire. On checking I found that it still had six months to go .Had I responded to update it would have given the scammers my details PayPal dont ask this unless you are about to make a legitimate transaction.
