I bought a smartphone and was told I would be able to connect to my home network wifi, but have been unable to do so. A relative tried with their phone and it didn't work either but worked on their own home network. Emailed my ISP they replied that the password was all that was needed. At the moment trying to contact my router manufacturer, but had the router 4 yrs. The only thing I can think is that the router is WEP - does that make a difference. Any reply would be very much appreciated - it's driving me nuts. Regards.

Grateful for the reply Ravid. Will have to get family to help me out on this one being an OAP! The router is a Dynamode R- ADSL- C4W- EG which I bought years ago. The phone is a Galaxy Fit. Thanks for the reply. Regards

Basicly your router box will have it's own wireless password/key and If you find your router settings program on your computer,somewhere in them settings It will display your password/key. You need to copy this down on your smartphone settings where it asks for the password/key once you have searched and found your network on the smartphone. Save it and it should connect. It's hard to go through the full set up with you as you have not mentioned what router you have and what smartphone you have. If you can't find your network when searching for it it may be that you have not enabled your router to give out it's wireless signal.
