I recently installed Google Chrome recently and I thought it was a big improvement on IE8. Pages loaded much quicker.

However, today it started not displaying some pages correctly. Wiki pages were completely different as were YouTube pages and others. All the same info seemed to be there but laid out differently. I tried to ask this question using Chrome and I noticed my avatar wasn't displayed and the "submit" button wouldn't work. Now using IE8 again and all is well, except slower than Chrome.

Anyone have any idea what's wrong with Chrome? Their help pages were pretty useless.

Hi

I have found CHROME to be much faster as well, but it does have drawbacks, quite a lot of them actually!

I could go on, but as you have already got the idea, I use Chrome for general surfing youtube / music / searching etc, but ie8 for all applications and ebay listing (chrome really screws up the pages on that) and am pretty happy with that, not ideal, but the best advise you are going to get !

Thanks for that, Evilninja, I think!
I've just made Chrome my default browser, and am using it on here no problem.
Don't forget if you've just switched to chrome, you'll need to log in before you avatar is displayed, and you can submit questions.

I deleted chrome and re-installed it the following down and now, fingers crossed, it seems to be working OK.
