Iv'e losts the internet connection
,on a hp windows 7 laptop the signal strenth meter has a red cross on, We followed the instructions and windows came up with (No connections are available) and pointed us to (Network sharing center) this we can't find
When we first had the laptop we clicked on the signal meter which came up with a list of isp's one of which was bt which is what we use ,now we can't find the list
The bt router seems ok because there's another laptop being used with it
Grateful for any help

Look for either a button or (hidden!) switch or a a key with a wireless symbol on it (probably F key at the top of the keyboard) and switch the card back on again.
if you can't find anything post the make and model of the laptop.

Chuck the laptop is a (HP g6-1080sa) and it has a key with a wireless symbol showing blue so that looks ok
In (Control Panel Network Map) its set at Wireless Network Connection but also the Adapter is not connected ,What adapter are they talking about
In the N-Sharing Centre (thanks factor30) clicking on the big red cross it goes through its diagnostics and then tells me its reset the wireless adapter and the problem has been resolved ,Now unplug your router for 10 seconds and away you go "I wish"
It being 6 months old it will probably finish up back at J Lewis or wired in permanently
