No sound with video

Why cant I get sound on videos sent to my email address, taken on someones mobile phone, transferred to their computer, then emailed to my laptop. But there is sound when i view them on my iphone. I dont have sound problems otherwise ie you tube videos.

Check sound control on the application that is used to run the video clips. If still problems, download free program vlc media player. Better than Windows Media Player and less resource hungry.

Install the correct codec.
VLC will probably do it .. but if you don't want to install another program (like VLC) install just the codec. .. Try this one first .. http://www.free-codec.../download/FFDShow.htm
