Copying Outlook Express emails.
6 Answers
When copying a batch of Emails to another folder, sometimes a 'confirm file replace' window will appear, stating:
"The file already contains a file named ***************"
"Would you like to replace the existing file"?
"YES" ---- "YES TO ALL" ---- "NO" ---- "Cancel"
If one doesn't wish to replace it because although it has the same name, it contains a different message.
If one presses 'NO' will it then copy them all?
If not, how can one copy all of those with the same name?
Thank you.

Not only does it give you a much faster copy process, but it gives you more options (such as copy the file but automatically rename it) when it finds there's already a file of the same name.
This is a free utility, which I have on all my Windows machines.

Hi rojash
Thanks for that, it looks most useful.
I have downloaded it, so can I ask you some questions please?
There were two boxes, one ticked 'Associate with .md5 files', the other ticked 'Associate with .sfv files'.
Not knowing what they were, I un-ticked them both before starting the download.
When I launch Teracopy 2.22, it shows two narrow windows, one labelled 'Drop files here', and one labelled 'Select target folder'.
Can one only put one file to copy at a time in the first box, or can one highlight a number and then drag them into this box?

Yes, I unticked them as well.

Don't bother to launch it. It automatically hooks into Windows Explorer.
When you choose to copy/paste or drag/drop files, it runs automatically, in place of the normal copy routine.
Try it:
Copy a file into a folder by your usual method (Drag and Drop, or Copy and Paste)
Copy the file again, and the Teracopy window will pop up, point out that you already have a file of that name and ask what you want to do. The second button down on the right (I think) offers Autorename All. If you click it you'll find that you now have your original file, plus another with the same name but with the suffix "_2".
Be aware that left-drag and drop uses TeraCopy Automatically.
Right-drag and drop will bring up a menu which includes the usual "Copy hee" and "Move here" options, but also "Teracopy here" and "TeraMove here".
