I have received 2 e-mails off a Spanish girl I know, which contains the words Click aqui para ver images adjuntas, which translates to click here to view images attached. my cursor changes from a arrow to a pointing hand when pointing at this link but nothing opens when I tap the pad on my laptop?
Don't click - spam! Although from your known contact, the link itself may take you to a unsafe site/virus port, for safety on your lappy - leave alone. Better to be safe than fix an infestation!!
Thanks BT Yes have had a genuine reply off my Spanish friend stating that she has not sent these 2 e-mails. She says she thinks she has a virus on her computer, does that mean I have received one just by opening her 2 e-mails, or would my McAfee program block it.
sounds like your security software has stopped it. Delete it from your inbox. Sounds like your friends email has been hacked. She needs to change her password immediately!!!!
If you've clicked on the links then, if you're lucky you may not, but do a full system scan, then rerun, and if you have a malware program installed run that as well. Better to assume you have than be infected.
If it comes clear after all of them, then remember DON'T open links inside emails - check with the sender first, and if you didn't expect any photos/files etc from them delete the email..
